Work towards your goals for yourself, not for anyone else. Only you can identify what makes you happy, nobody else can do this for you.
Why can’t they do this for you? Because success and happiness means different things to different people. For some, success equates to wealth, for others it’s finding a purpose, spending time with loved ones, travelling, studying....what’s your goals in life? Who are they set for?
Some of my best teachers are my patients. I regularly see people towards the end of their life and sometimes I hear them say, “I wish I could have....” It crushes me.
You can spend a lifetime doing something that you were never passionate about, that didn’t make you happy or perhaps you compromised dreams and chose to live in someone else’s shadow instead of owning your own.
I’m constantly evaluating my goals because they drive me to keep learning and growing as a student of life. I want to be the best version of myself, work with purpose and serve my community in any way I can. My family bring me joy and in their happiness, I find my peace. Nothing else compares. All my goals therefore are always set with these values at their core.
Internal reflection and self motivation are key to creating goals based on your dreams that you believe can come true. #goaldigger
